My view is that the installing program didn’t install correctly as it was meant to ask for the product’s serial number, which it never did. To start the conversation again, simply ask a new question. With its unambiguous product name and friendly red box, it is easy to believe that the Video to DVD Maker won’t push your average VHS veteran outside his or her technology kaier zone.
For seasoned video converters, I imagine the interface would look fairly familiar, but as a newcomer to this realm I had to do a little digging first on the CyberLink and then on the Kaiser Baas website which has a nice summary page of key software features to get a feel for the system. I have to visit the Kaiser Baas website to determine that for my basic purposes I probably only need PowerDirector, which handles basic video capture, editing and burning, while PowerProducer provides burning and cataloguing tools for more ambitious projects.
